Scope of Work:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform quality system audits and verifications of contractual specifications and applicable regulations.  

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions. 
  • Ensure all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner, specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished, communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and document results of all inspections. 
  • Perform random sampling audits of processes/functions being conducted to ascertain level of performance. Conduct on-going audits of the project’s quality system utilizing ISO 9000 criteria. 
  • Develop the audit criteria with which to conduct the quality system audit.  
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inspection reports/graphs for submission to the division manager.  Process audit findings to include recommendations for any deficiencies found.  
  • Conduct follow-ups to deficiencies recorded to ensure Corrective Action has been implemented.  
  • Develop inspection requirement summaries and inspection guides based on the performance work statement (PWS) and internal standards.  
  • Provide training on the performance of quality control inspections if needed.  
  • Review and track status of standard operating procedures, work instructions, flow charts and plans for assigned areas.  
  • Input inspection results to the Automated Quality and Safety Management System (OpsCheck).  
  • Interface with government counterparts.  
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.  

 Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be qualified to perform the work being inspected – electrical, plumbing, HVAC, life safety, or structures.  Minimum three years experience enforcing Quality Management Systems programs on large maintenance contracts.
  • Ability to read, interpret and technically discuss drawings, specifications, regulations applicable to military and civilian applications.
  • Professional certification from American Society for Quality (ASQ) in quality management and/or quality engineering preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified preferred.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong professional customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow up. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to work with all levels of Management and Supervisors. 
  • Must be able to handle sensitive information. 
  • Problem solving skills using Quality Assurance industry techniques, tools and resources. 
  • Experience conducting quality assurance (QA) surveillances or audits and techniques; analyzing data to identify negative trends; and recommending solutions for quality deficiencies.
  • Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.
  • Working knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word,  and Excel) is required.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.  Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test and a criminal record check. Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.  
  • Must have practical knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards and standard safety practices.  
  • Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements of the customer, to include weekends and holidays.
