Pay:

$20.14/hr + Health and Welfare

Health and Welfare: $5.25/hour up to 40 hours a week for use towards medical benefit premiums.

Shift Assignments are at the discretion of site management.

1st shift will be paid the base hourly rate.

2nd shift will be paid the base hourly rate of $20.14 plus a 5% shift differential.

3rd shift will be paid the base hourly rate of $20.14 plus a 10% shift differential.

Scope of Work:

The Laborer-Hazardous Materials performs General Laborer work as assigned and is responsible for responding and mitigating all hazardous material spills. Additionally, this position is responsible for the storage, inspection, and transportation of hazardous materials for the FASTC contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, handling, response, cleanup, storage, inspection, and transportation of a hazardous materials onsite.
  • Responding and mitigating all hazardous material spills under 5 gal
  • Perform maintenance, handling, response, cleanup, storage, inspection, and transportation of a hazardous materials onsite
  • The Laborer loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances.
  • Clean and recycling of firing range live fire shoot house, MOUT, explosive pads, and other assigned facilities to include removing all brass, vehicle debris, cleaning all surfaces of debris.
  • Cleaning to acceptable health and safety levels surfaces and areas for lead, gunpowder, and frangible ammo.
  • Responsible for cleaning of bullet traps.
  • Rehang and repair breaching doors in all venues.
  • Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors.
  • Using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
  • Repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets.
  • Painting structures and equipment.
  • Repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks.
  • Replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles.
  • Hanging doors and installing door locks.
  • Replacing window panes.
  • Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have HAZMAT certification
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an interim secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
  • Must have knowledge of worksite safety, occupational hazards and standard safety practices.
  • Must have a basic knowledge of custodial, recycling, and working with hazardous materials.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and work harmoniously with others
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must have a safe driving record, as defined by Company policy, to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a drug/alcohol test, criminal record check, and motor vehicle check.
